Safety on the day for home use

•  Wear the appropriate protective clothing, gloves and non-flammable clothes.
• Never leave naked flames unattended.
•  Children must be kept under supervision at all times.
•  No persons under the influence of alcohol should be involved in the handling or  igniting of the lanterns.
•  Never smoke while handling the lanterns.
•  Unpack lanterns in a safe environment, away from any sources of ignition.
•  Make sure that you familiarise yourself with the lanterns, and their performance.
•  Ensure that the wind is not stronger than 5 mph.
•  Ensure that trees are not in the flight path.
•  Ensure that the flight path is not going into buildings.
•  Must be released more than 5 miles away from any airports.
•  Do not use around dry crops.
•  Always keep water or fire extinguishers nearby.
• Check the direction of the wind before lighting to ensure no obstacles.
